How can I tighten my love handles without losing my figure?

January 8th, 2009

My love handles give me an hourglass-like figure, but when I wear jeans, they stick out and just look bad. I don’t want to lose my love handles, but I want to make them tighter. How do I do this?

pilates is great for toning areas like that, but no matter what you do, if you shrink them, you will surely lose atl east some of your figure.

    ok

if you got access to a gym. i recommend the following::

+ Rowing machine – 30-60min per session – works wonders for toning all round body, abs, lats, love handles.

+ Powerplates – these will send contractions(like a massive vibrator) into your ”lose” areas and tighten them up whilst you perform movements on the plates or stretches.

+ Ab Crunches on bouncy ball – will tighten your entire core if worked on properly.

However if u aint someone suited for the gym, then jogging outside, sit ups, mayb do the bouncy ball thing at home aswell will all assist in getting them love handles into rock hard snake hips-just like mine! lol

and no ppl im not boasting,im proof that it works.

exercise is the ovious key,you just need the right techniques- and diet!
sometimes you have to sacrifice other areas of your overall figuire to gain the particular results you require.

good luck in gettin them handles banished.

    :)

My favorites workouts are hoopdancing and pilates. A lot of people are skeptical about hoop dance for weight loss but believe me it works. Rayna of hoopnotica has really great abs but still has a womanly figure. Check out the hoopnotica website. On their youtube site (just type in hoopnotica in the search box on youtube) they have videos showing the types of workouts you can do. Their most recent video shows some high speed cardio hooping ideas. It has Keaton (who went from a size 14 to a size 4 from hooping) doing these moves. One workout is called “hourglass rocker” where you hoop on the upper body at a fast speed and really work your obliques. I tried this yesterday and man..it works! Now pilates is also great because it really focuses on toning and targeting those deep inner muscles. A lot of exercises don’t get to them (like crunches). When you target those muscles, they will act like a corset and pull everything in. Just be sure that when you do pilates you do it correctly. Examples: breathe out on the exertion, keep abs engaged throughout the workout, engage the pelvic muscles, etc.

Here are a list of some sites that helped me.
